Welcome to our new website. The following will hopefully answer most of your questions along with directions for submitting your photos and information.

How does the new website work?

We have designed the site primarily for the use of our clients. The website will function as a online headsheet and database. Unlike most other modeling agency websites, our site has sophisticated search functions that allow clients to target the type of model they're looking for. We believe this will have a tremendous boon to both clients and talent. Think of it as a headsheet book that can be viewed with specific criteria in mind.

Will there still be a printed headsheet?

No; for a number of reasons the website will be replacing our printed headsheets. One reason is that more and more clients are working exclusively electronically. Another is that unlike print, a website can be much more flexible and timely. And yet another reason is that we can offer it a lower cost to our models.

Can clients book models online?

Booking online involves so many variables, it would be impossible to do on a practical basis. Clients must still call the agency to do any booking. That also gives us the opportunity to answer any questions they may have, offer suggestions, and generally make sure they're making the right choice for their particular job.

What do I need to do to get listed on the site?

First and foremost, you must be interviewed and taken on by AXIS if you're not with us already. Past that we will need the following items for you to be listed online:
  • Signed registration form-this includes your database information (only the business-related information will be seen on the site itself).
  • Photo(s)-One (main) shot is required. Additional images (up to 11 more) can be added at any time (at $10 per image).
  • Payment-by check (payable to Nexxus Design Company).
All submissions must be approved by AXIS before they will be posted.

How long will it take to get my information posted?

Submissions will take approximately 2 weeks to appear online; it depends on when they come in during the cycle. New submissions take more time, updates take less.

What kind of pictures should I submit?

We suggest that your photos start off with one headshot-style image. Our clients demand a clear view of how you look. After that, diversify what you choose to present. For instance, display as wide a range as possible to show that you can book a variety of types-from a CEO or doctor, to a mom, dad, or grandparent. If you book runway, industrials, or commercials, you should have images representative of those categories.

Since we are a direct-book market, there is often no go-see or casting. The client really needs to feel confident that you look like your photos. So please do not submit the same photos in the 2001/02 headsheets because our clients have been looking at them for 4 years. We will be happy to individually discuss any questions you may have and what will work best for you.

How many pictures can I put on initially and can I update pictures?

The initial registration includes one picture (main image), however, the site can accommodate up to 12 images in total. Usually between 4 and 8 pictures is enough to show a good variety of looks and styles. Children and/or acting talent often do fine with only one photo (though they can show more as well). Commercial print people need more pictures to show a variety of looks. Updating pictures and/or database information can be done at any time.

What if I'm not sure which images to use or what categories I should be in?

Call the agency. We'll be glad to walk you through the categories that are causing concern, as well as offer suggestions with your picture selections. Submissions will also be reviewed before they are posted.

Why aren't my stats on the site?

They will be. We're currently programming the next version of the site which will list the stats, along with many other improvements. The beta version is scheduled to be up around the first of the year.

My pictures aren't up; why not?

If you sent pictures and they're not up there's probably a problem with your registration. Either the registration form was not filled out and signed, or payment was not received. Be sure to send your materials to Nexxus Design, not the agency.

How much is the fee to be listed?

We've tried to keep the fee as cost effective as possible. It's $125 for the first year to be listed on the site and includes your main image. Additional images (or updating an image) are $10 each.

Will my image be safe from unauthorized use?

We try to protect our images as best we can, however this being the WorldWideWeb, no one can guarantee that your image is totally safe. On a legal basis, it is against the law for anyone to use your image without your permission and we have multiple disclaimers to that effect. But it is extremely difficult to completely control an image, any image, once it is online. But having said that, it is also true that blatant, unauthorized use of images is rare, and images used illegally for commercial purposes can be prosecuted.

Can I make suggestions to the site or report bugs?

Yes; please keep in mind that this is a brand new site with some sophisticated search functions. There are usually bugs that need to be worked out with sites of this complexity, and we'll be making updates as frequently as we can. You can report any bugs to help@axismodels.com as well as any suggestions you may have. Be sure to include whatever operating system/browser combination you are using as well as their versions along with a description of the problem.
